Modena & London –28 March 2022 – BASCA, innovative startup aiming to make mixers, tanks and containers cleaning process enviro-friendly and more sustainable, and Terrafend, a global cleantech company, today announced a strategic partnership that will empower international ink, paint, and composite manufacturers to reduce risk, waste and carbon footprints.

Industrial coatings are, by nature of their protective purpose, resilient and notoriously difficult to clean from manufacturing vessels and infrastructure. Consequently, the industry has relied on traditional solvents which are extremely high in VOCs – a leading cause of ground level smog and the pollution of our planet – and produce significant volumes of harmful emulsified waste.

The collaboration will align Terrafend and BASCA’s shared focus on making a material contribution to the climate change solution while delivering innovative and superior cleaning solutions to manufacturers. The companies will launch their new Ambimization® ready pot wash machine at the European Coatings Show 28 – 30 March in Nuremberg.

“We are excited to work with BASCA, with whom we are pioneering a new era of sustainable manufacturing for the coatings industry,” said Benjamin Reid, CEO of Terrafend. “Terrafend’s Ambimization® technology combines chemical and mechanical engineering to provide a revolutionary approach to cleaning. Our water-based, non-flammable, non-carcinogenic and non-toxic fluids clean moveable vessels quickly, safely and sustainably – reducing waste volumes by up to 98% and VOCs by up to 93.5%. The impact of integrating BASCA’s pot wash machine with Ambimization® is a game-changer for the industry.”

“We are excited to work with BASCA, with whom we are pioneering a new era of sustainable manufacturing for the coatings industry,” said Benjamin Reid, CEO of Terrafend.

The innovative pot wash machine will enable coating manufacturers to customize their processes to clean portable tanks, IBC’s and drums. The machine leverages a high-pressure pump and customized rotary spray nozzle to clean containers, while a collection pump removes fluid from the bottom and sends it back to the stocking tank for reuse.

“BASCA’s collaboration with Terrafend builds on our strong track record of partnering with the coatings industry to reduce the environmental impact generated by the cleaning of reusable containers,” said Alessio Bondi, Sales Director and Co-founder of BASCA. “BASCA’s Lean Clean modularization concept is at the hearth of BascaLC Ambimization®. This technology allows paint and coating manufactures purchase cleaning equipment specially configured for their needs to clean portable tanks, IBC’s, drums and be upgraded with further accessories to automatize cleaning process.

Customers working with BASCA and Terrafend will benefit from a custom product specially engineer to work at the best conditions with both advantages from a premium equipment capable of cleaning multiple containers and a low VOC’s, non-flammable, non-carcinogenic, non-toxic cleaner.

“BASCA’s collaboration with Terrafend builds on our strong track record of partnering with the coatings industry to reduce the environmental impact generated by the cleaning of reusable containers,” said Alessio Bondi, Sales Director and Co-founder of BASCA.

About BASCA

BASCA is an innovative company aiming to make your container and tank cleaning process enviro-friendly and more sustainable.
